Sri Lankan Competitor Wins Third Place in King Abdulaziz International Quran Memorization Competition
Sri Lankan competitor Muhammad Imdad won third place in the fifth branch of the 46th edition of the King Abdulaziz International Quran Memorization, Recitation and Interpretation Competition held at the Holy Mosque in Makkah.
The final results were announced, the winners were honored, and prizes were distributed during ceremonies held on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, where Imdad received a cash prize of 55,000 Saudi Riyals, which is approximately 4.9 million Sri Lankan Rupees.
This achievement is an important milestone in the student's journey, and it represents a proud achievement for Sri Lanka, especially after winning first place in the second branch of the Third Sri Lanka National Quran Memorization Competition held last January.
