PROPHET IBRAHIM AND CALVING THE FAT BULL, STORIES TOLD BY THE HOLY QUR'AN

PROPHET IBRAHIM AND CALVING THE FAT BULL

STORIES TOLD BY THE HOLY QUR'AN

There was an apostle named Ibrahim. He is full of virtues. Dignifying guests is one of his special qualities. One day two guests came to his house and greeted him. Prophet Ibrahim also greeted them with a salutation in reply. Who came, who? Those who have no acquaintance with.

However, they were warmly welcomed and embraced by Prophet Ibrahim. He cooked a fattened calf he had raised for them and put it in front of them to eat. They were not eating. Seeing this, Prophet Ibrahim was frightened. They will not do any harm to anyone if they have it in their house in those days. There was a fear that they might have come with some bad intention if they saw that they were not eating. ‘Won’t you eat?’ He asked.

Only then did it become clear that those who came were angels in human form. Angels come in human form but remain angelic in nature. Angels have no pleasures, no hunger, no thirst. Only after they did not eat or drink did the angels clarify their purpose
They said, "We have come to tell you the good news that you are going to have an intelligent baby boy."

From inside, Sarah, the wife of Prophet Ibrahim, was listening to their conversation. ‘I am old, barren. How can I have a baby? ’She put her hand to her eye and wondered,‘ I'm an old woman, barren. My husband is old too! Can I have a baby to be like this?' To which the angels said ‘that is what will happen’.

According to the angels, Mother Sarah had a son named Isaac. He also had a child named ‘Jacob’. He had 12 boys. Their descendants are the ‘Israelites’.

Dear brothers and sisters! Prophet Ibrahim (PBUH) cooked and fed the fat bull calf that he had lusted to raise guests who did not know who he was. So, let us also entertain the guests and strengthen our faith and come forward to receive the grace of Allah (God).
