Is The Capsule Used In Your Medication Really Halal?

IS THE CAPSULE USED IN YOUR MEDICATION REALLY HALAL?

When taking medication in capsule form, please be cautious and ensure that the capsules are veggie, and not the standard gelatine type as even those rare ones with halaal certification can be suspect if the halal certifying body has a poor track record, incompetence, corrupt beliefs or if the individuals in the company making the product has a track record of bribery/ fraud/ corruption.

How does one distinguish between a veggie cap and a gelatine one if you are currently using one that's not stated on the packaging? Its very simple...

A veggie cap has a pine, or a seaweed taste, depending on what it's comprised of. Just suck it a little to determine this. A gelatine cap, on the other hand, has very little or absolutely no taste.

Remember, there is no legitimate cure in consuming haraam or injecting yourself with haraam.

Umm Salamah, the wife of the Prophet reports that he once said:
"Allah has not placed a cure for your diseases in things that He has forbidden for you."
(Reported by Baihaqi; Ibn Hibban considers this hadith to be sound. Bukhari has also related it on the authority of Ibn Mas'ud.)

“Allah has sent down both the disease and the cure, and He has appointed a cure for every disease, so treat yourselves medically, BUT USE NOTHING UNLAWFUL”
narrated by Abi Darda r.a, Abu Dawood & Sahih Bukhari

Jabir (رضي الله عنه) reported that The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:
“That flesh will not enter Paradise which has grown from Harām, and all that flesh which has grown from Haram, the fire (of hell) is more worthy of it.”
(Ahmed, Darimi, Baihaqi)
