TURMERIC (HALDI) TEA HEALTH DRINK RECIPE



Ingredients

Turmeric:
People normally use ground turmeric here since it’s much easier to find.

Lemon Juice:
Freshly squeezed lemon juice lends a bright pop of citrus flavor.... don't use the store bought junk lemon juice mixed with preservatives.

Raw Honey:
Some people like their tea with a hint of sweetness. If you prefer, use jaggery in its place. Avoid all harmful sweeteners.

Black Pepper:
Add just a pinch since black pepper helps your body absorb the curcumin from the turmeric.

Can you use fresh turmeric instead of dried turmeric? Absolutely. Just grate about 1 1/2 teaspoons of fresh turmeric root.

How to Make the Turmeric Tea:

If you can boil water, you can make turmeric tea! Just a few simple steps and you’ll be sipping to good health.

1. Add the water, turmeric, lemon juice, honey, and black pepper to a small pot, then whisk together.

Heat on high just until the tea starts to boil. Turn the heat down to medium-low and simmer for 10 minutes.

Let the tea cool for a minute or two. Pour into your favorite mug and enjoy.
