IMPORTANT NOTICE FROM SRI LANKA WAQF BOARD
Suspension of all joint activities such as tharaweeh, Jumu'ah prayers and bayans, Qiyamullail, Itikaf, Tawba in all mosques until further notice
Granting permission for five daily congregational prayers within the maximum limit of 25 people at a time in any mosque
It is mandatory to wear a mask, maintain a distance of one meter, bring a prayer rug and bring it from home.
Closing the wudu making area
All mosques should be closed until further notice in all areas that are isolated or defined
All other guidelines issued by the health and safety authorities and the previous instructions of the Waqf Council should be strictly followed.
Give permission to believers / authorities to close mosques if it is impractical or difficult to follow the above guidelines
In view of the extraordinary spread of Covid 19, in consultation with the health authorities, the Waqf Council of Sri Lanka has decided as follows
